Refunds & Returns Policy
At Newcastle Circus Arts, we understand that life happens. We’re a community organisation built on trust, care and commitment — and we ask the same in return.
Class fees support our freelance artists, youth leaders, venue costs and specialist equipment. Because of this, we’re not able to offer automatic refunds — but we’ll always try to be reasonable and fair.
Here’s how it works:
Early Cancellation
If you give us more than 72 hours notice for cancelling a normal class, we will issue a refund, no questions asked.
Missed Classes
If you miss a session due to illness, work, childcare or holiday and you give us more than 24 hours notice.
-
We’re unable to offer refunds.
-
Where space allows, we’re happy to offer a transfer to another suitable class within the same term.
-
Alternatively, we may be able to offer a class credit for future use.
If you give us less than 24 hours notice or if you do not show up to your class, we’re unable to offer a refund or a credit.
Underbooked Classes
If you are the only person booked onto a class we will unfortunately have to cancel your class.
In that case, we will let you know and offer you a refund.
Term Bookings & Course Blocks
Some of our classes run as termly or half-term blocks.
-
Bookings secure your place for the full block.
-
We don’t offer partial refunds for missed sessions.
-
If you need to stop attending due to injury or medical reasons, we’ll support you as follows:
-
If you have attended more than half of the booked sessions, we can offer a class credit for the remaining sessions you were unable to attend.
-
If you have attended fewer than half of the sessions, we can offer a 50% refund of the total booking fee.
-
Workshops & Special Events
For one-off workshops and masterclasses:
-
Cancellations more than 14 days in advance will receive a refund
-
Within 14 days, bookings are non-refundable unless we’re able to fill your space from a waiting list.
If We Have to Cancel
If we need to cancel a class due to tutor illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will always offer:
-
A replacement session
-
A credit
-
Or a refund if we can’t reschedule
Funded / Free Places
For funded or subsidised programmes, consistent attendance is really important. If someone repeatedly doesn’t attend without notice, we may offer the place to someone on our waiting list.
A Final Note
We’re a small, community-run organisation. Every booking directly supports artists working in the North East and helps us keep circus accessible and thriving.
If something serious happens, talk to us. We’ll always aim to handle situations with fairness and care.
